The OSP was created with the belief that all students, regardless of income or zip code, should have access to a quality education, and that parents should have the freedom to decide the best learning option for their children.
Since 2004, the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program has participated with D.C. private schools to provide low-income students access to a high quality education. Currently 40 D.C. private schools accept Opportunity scholarships. Every year students use their scholarships to pay for tuition, uniforms, transportation, and other school related fees.
Scholarships for the 2023-2024 school years are up to $10,713 for elementary and middle schools, and up to $16,070 for high school. If your school is interested in becoming a participating school, please email kevinm@servingourchildrendc.org or call 202-464-6701.
