What are Family Support Specialists?

Each D.C. OSP Participating Private School is assigned a family support specialist. They are dedicated to host program information sessions, assist families in completing the OSP Scholarship Application, Provide Application Status Updates and More.

What is a SPF (School Placement Form)?

A School Placement Form is provided to all awarded students by Serving Our Children. Guardians of those awarded students must sign section 1 of the form and submit to the school where their student has applied and been accepted. Once the form is received by the school from the guardian, the school must complete section 2 and return to Serving Our Children . Every enrolled D.C. OSP Student must have a completed and submitted SPF before the school can invoice Serving Our Children for enrolled students.

Remember The Three S’s…

Student Placement

Every D.C. OSP Participating Private School must ensure that each enrolled D.C. OSP Student has a completed SPF submitted to Serving Our Children before the student’s first day of attendance.

Student Exits

Every D.C. OSP Participating Private School must notify Serving Our Children when an Enrolled D.C. OSP Student(s) have exited their school. The Student Exit Form is located in the Libraries tab within S.T.A.R.S.

Student Transfers

Every D.C. OSP Participating Private School must notify Serving Our Children when an Enrolled D.C. OSP Student(s) have transferred to their school. The Student Transfer Form is located in the Libraries tab within S.T.A.R.S.
