How much are the scholarship awards for school year 2023-24?

  • Up to $16,070 for high school students and;
  • Up to $10,713 for elementary and middle school students

How do I apply?

Parents/Guardians need to submit an application online at https://osp.my.salesforce-sites.com/  Applications are accepted between September and April/May.

What documents are accepted to prove my students eligibility?

View a list of acceptable documents at Documents Library. The Data Team will review all documents submitted through your family portal.

When will I receive notification of my students scholarship eligibility?

Once all additional documents are submitted and accepted, your students eligibility will be displayed on your family portal

Does my scholarship rollover to the next school year?

Your scholarship does not automatically rollover to the next year. You must renew your child’s scholarship every year. Scholarships will be renewed provided you still meet the income and residency requirements.

Can I use my scholarship for another child?

The scholarship may only be used for the child for whom the scholarship was awarded.

Can I use my scholarship outside of the District of Columbia?

While other states have similar programs, the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship may only be used within the District of Columbia at one of our participating private schools.
