  • Learn it Together
    Free virtual tutoring for middle school and high school students. We foster a supportive community of tutors, primarily made up of college students and young professionals, devoted to mentoring students in academic subjects and providing peer-to-peer support. . We can help students with Spanish, History, French, Math, Economics, Psychology, Science and Chinese.

Tuition Assistance for K-12 Students

  • Guide to Applying for FAFSA                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Eligibility for student aid through the FAFSA requires admission to or enrollment in a recognized degree or certificate program. U.S. citizens or permanent residents who hold a green card can fill out the FAFSA application. Applicants must possess a Social Security card or official government ID, and males between 18 and 25 must provide evidence of Selective Service registration. Educational requirements include a high school diploma, GED, or recognized homeschool equivalency.
  • Archdiocese of Washington D.C.
    The Archdiocese of Washington, D.C. (ADW) works hard to keep Catholic education as affordable as possible. To assist families, the ADW offers several tuition assistance programs to students attending ADW schools.
  • Black Student Fund
    The Black Student Fund (BSF) is dedicated to bringing people together by maintaining access to independent schools for African American children from low to modest income households.
  • Capital Partners for Education
    Capital Partners for Education (CPE) is a dynamic college preparatory program dedicated to helping motivated, low-income students overcome the academic and social barriers that would otherwise prevent them from attending the college of their choice.
  • Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
    The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Young Scholars Program seeks high-achieving, low to moderate-income 7th grade students, and cultivates their talents and abilities throughout high school by providing the personalized advising and financial support needed to secure challenging academic opportunities.

These schools – elementary, secondary, day and boarding, urban and rural – educate over 34,000 students and their missions are as diverse as the communities they serve.

    The Consortium of Catholic Academies (CCA) of the Archdiocese of Washington provides financial, administrative and academic leadership to sustain affordable and excellent Catholic schools that reach out to underserved communities.

  • Higher Achievement Program
    Higher Achievement is a non-profit organization that provides middle school children from underserved areas year-round academic enrichment programs and preparation for top high school placement. The organization invests in talent and hard work and delivers over 650 hours annually of rigorous academic training during the most critical time in a child’s development: middle school.
  • Homeless Students and Education
    According to the data released by Department of Justice, more than 1.7 million teenagers experience homelessness within the United States each year – a number that is low given students’ reticence to share details of their living situations. Education should be a basic right of every citizen, yet far too many students who find themselves without permanent housing aren’t aware of their wealth of resources available to them – both on campus and in their local communities.

    Neediest Kids provides thousands of low-income students across the DC Metro area with the basic essentials they need to get the education they deserve.
  • Bainum Family Foundation
    The foundation operates and supports educational programs and projects assisting underserved children and youth from early childhood through post-secondary education. The Foundation focuses on early learning, wrap around opportunities and knowledge building. 
  • Davidson Institute for Talent Development
    Davidson Institute is a program that supports the educational and developmental needs of profoundly intelligent young people (age 5 – 18). This program assists with academic support and educational advocacy.

    The District of Columbia Housing Authority (DCHA) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the District of Columbia for low and moderate income households by providing and effectively managing affordable housing that is diverse and aesthetically pleasing.
