The D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSP) awards need-based annual scholarships to eligible District children to attend a participating private D.C. elementary, middle, or high school of their parent’s choice.

Find a School 

For school year 2023-24, individual scholarship awards are up to $16,070 for high school and up to $10,713  for elementary and middle school. Opportunity Scholarships may be used at any of the schools participating in the program and can be used to pay for tuition, uniforms, books, and other school-related fees (up to the annual maximum scholarship award). You must apply separately and be accepted to the participating school you choose in order to use the scholarship.
